New AAA Mixed Tag Champions Crowned At 12/8 AAA Tapings

AAA's resident reptilian finishes his story.

On December 8, 2024, AAA hosted a set of tapings from the Nuevo Leon Unido Gymnasium in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, serving as the last set of tapings for the company for 2024. The show featured DECAY (Crazzy Steve & Havok) making their second title defense against Mr. Iguana & La Hiedra.

After a heated match, Mr. Iguana & La Hiedra would manage to defeat the famed TNA Faction to win the AAA Mixed Tag Titles. Despite working with AAA consistently since 2018, this was Iguana's first title of his career with the company (although he did win the Copa Bardhal back in 2021 during AAA's big show, "TripleMania 29"). As for La Hiedra, this is her second title with AAA after free-birding the AAA Trios Titles with Texano Jr. & Rey Escorpion back in 2021; however, Villano III Jr. & Black Taurus (now going by The Beast Mortos in All Elite Wrestling) ended up rotating with Texano Jr. & Escorpion in defending the belts.

As for DECAY, they held the belts for 64 days but only one title defense, last defeating Brazo de Oro Jr. & Reina Doradaback in the 2024 edition of AAA Guerra de Titanes. This reign officially made them the team with the shortest title reign in the title's history.
