New reports have surfaced about recent releases from WWE and concerns about WWE live event business moving forward.
On Thursday, September 10th, 2020, WWE let several producers go including Gerald Brisco, Sarah Stock, and Mike Rotundo. It was also confirmed that writer Anthony Benigno was released.
According to reports by WrestleZone, a WWE source noted that multiple live event staff members, including technical crew and show producers have been released by WWE after being furloughed earlier this year. This follows a report from PWInsider that “over 60 staffers” were let go on Thursday as part of the WWE cuts.
Reportedly, there was hope the event staff would be able to stay on with the company in some way, but now there’s internal concern that a lot more “public releases” could still be coming.

Fightful will continue to monitor the story and report any and all updates.
