New Main Event Announced For IMPACT Wrestling's 'Redemption' PPV Following Alberto El Patron's Release From The Company

The company had to put together another main event in wake of releasing Alberto El Patron.

Friday night at the IMPACT Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground show that was streamed live on Twitch the current IMPACT World Champion Austin Aries was scheduled to team up with his ex-opponent at the IMPACT 'Redemption' PPV Alberto El Patron to take on the tandem of Pentagon Jr. & Fenix. It was announced before the match that the contest was going to be converted into a Triple-Threat with competitors who were already in the ring; Aries, Pentagon Jr., and Fenix. The former GFW Global Champion Alberto El Patron was said to have no-showed the event and yesterday Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp was informed that El Patron had been let go from IMPACT Wrestling. The company then sent out the following concerning Alberto El Patron.

On April 22nd at the company's 'Redemption' PPV the "Belt Collector" Austin Aries was set to defend the IMPACT World Championship against El Patron but in wake of El Patron's release from the company it was announced during last night's 'House Of Hardcore' show in New Orleans that a new main event was going to be presented which is a rematch from the IMPACT Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground event, but with a championship on the line as Austin Aries will defend the IMPACT World Title in a Triple-Threat match against Pentagon Jr. and Fenix.
