Johnny Gargano's title curse continues.
Opening tonight's episode of NXT, Gargano defended his North American title but his opponent was determined by the spin of the wheel. However, a gimmicked wheel ended up on Leon Ruff as Gargano's opponent.
Thinking that Gargano was well on his way to successfully defending a title in NXT for the first time in his career, Ruff shocked the world and pinned Gargano to become the new champion.

Gargano now holds the two shortest North American title reigns in the title's history. Gargano initially won the title at Halloween Havoc back in October when he defeated Damian Priest.
