There is finally a new champion in the NXT UK women's division.
After nearly 650 days, Kay Lee Ray has been defeated for the NXT UK Women's Championship in her second match with Meiko Satomura.
This victory makes Satomura the fourth woman to hold this championship as she joins Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm, and Kay Lee Ray.
The majority of Kay Lee’s reign took place during the global pandemic which saw NXT UK shut down for a number of months before returning in September 2020. Once the brand had returned, she picked up several victories over Piper Niven and even a victory over Satomura herself.
Satomura picked up the victory with her Axe Kick finisher And celebrated with her new trophy to kick off a new era of NXT UK.
