New Raw Women’s Champion Crowned At WWE Summerslam

We are four for four on title changes tonight because Sasha Banks tapped out Alexa Bliss with the Bank Statement to become the WWE Raw Women’s Champion for a fourth time.

This was the second time a women’s title changed hands at this event, as Natalya won the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title by defeating Naomi earlier in the show.

Ryan Cook is providing live coverage of the event and here are the end of the match highlights:

Sasha hits running double knees in the corner for a near fall before trying to lock in the Bank Statement, but Alexa is quick to the bottom rope for the break. Sasha goes out of the ring after Alexa, but she pulls the apron and sends her off and to the floor. Sasha injures her shoulder trying to get back in the ring, sent back on to the floor while Alexa plays to the crowd. Sasha gets back in the ring at the count of nine, but Alexa is all over her, beating her down before hitting Twisted Bliss for a near fall. Alexa counters the Bank Statement once, but Alexa taps the second time she applies it for the win.

Winner: Sasha Banks via submission

Other title changes tonight saw Neville win the WWE Cruiserweight Title, The Uso’s win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles & Natalya win the WWE Smackdown Women’s Title.

You will hear more about this later on the WWE Summerslam post-show podcast, which features Sean Ross Sapp, Alex Pawlowski and the creator of “Most Ridiculous” Anna Bauert.
