Forgotten. Overlooked no more. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura are the new WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
In a match where they got to pick the stipulation, Cesaro and since K Nakamura made good on their promise and became the new SmackDown Champions at Extreme Rules. The match itself was hard-hitting and New Day showed more aggression than usual but in the end, it was a double powerbomb a la The Dudley Boyz that allowed the artists formerly known as The Artist Collective to capture tag team gold.
This is the third tag team partner that Cesaro has captured tag team gold with. For Nakamura, this is his first Tag Team Championship victory in WWE and his first championship victory since he lost the Intercontinental Championship back in January to Braun Strowman.
