New York Knicks Center Enes Kanter Is A Paul Heyman Guy; Wants To Wrestle When He Retires

If WWE wants to reclaim their stranglehold on Madison Square Garden, they could use Knicks star center Enes Kanter.

Kanter's love for professional wrestling is well-documented by those that follow him. In 2010, as member for the Kentucky Wildcats, Kanter brought the house down by recreating The Undertaker's entrance during introductions.

“It was funny as hell, and the fans flipped out,” Kentucky head coach John Calipari told VICE Sports. “There were people falling from the upper deck to the lower deck when he came out.”

Earlier this year, Kanter got a chance to meet The Undertaker and hang out with several WWE superstars when WWE came to MSG in July.

Kanter is rumored to be dating WWE superstar Dana Brooke.

Speaking to VICE Sports, Kanter revealed that he not only wants to be a WWE superstar when he retires, but that he's already had conversations with some important people in the business.

“I’m actually talking to the people over there now. Vince McMahon, he knows me,” Kanter said. “I had dinner with [Paul Heyman] two, three days ago. I asked him how long he’s gonna do this and he said ‘as long as Brock [Lesnar] goes, I go, and then I’m with you.’ I’m like yes! Seriously. I’m really serious about it.”

Over the summer, when the relationship between Lesnar and Heyman hit a rough patch, Kanter could not control his emotions.

If Lesnar ever kicks Heyman to the curb, Heyman will have a 6-foot-11 rebounding machine there to pick him up.
