Nia Jax opens up about the rise of Rhea Ripley.
Rhea Ripley is currently sitting atop WWE as the Women's World Champion. Ripley is dominating the women's division and is regularly on screen with some of the top men in WWE as part of The Judgment Day.
Nia Jax, in the past, has also captured Women's Championship gold at WrestleMania and mixed it up with legends in the 2019 men's Royal Rumble, where she ate an RKO from Randy Orton, a 619 from Rey Mysterio, and a Superkick from Dolph Ziggler.
Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestlebinge, Jax gave her thoughts on Ripley's current run in WWE.
“Rhea’s doing a great job. She’s kind of this rise. She might need to be knocked down a couple pegs," said Jax. “I think she’s incredible. She’s so talented. I mean, I saw her when she first came up on the main roster. I even saw her in NXT. She’s got such a long list of talents she can do. I really enjoy watching her, especially standing up to the guys."
Jax also reflected on wrestling Ripley in the past, remarking Ripley busted open her eye and that she might be interested in some payback.
“I’ve had a match with Rhea once before, and she busted my eye open, so maybe I have to get a little payback. I don’t know, I think we’d have a good dogfight in there."
Jax was a part of the 2023 Women's Royal Rumble match, which Ripley won, and recently commented on a potential return to WWE. Read more here.
