Nia Jax Says Her Total Divas Schedule Interfered With Her Live Event Match Against Dean Ambrose

Nia Jax clears up why the match did not happen.

Coming out of the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, WWE advertised a match between former RAW Women's Champion Nia Jax and former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose for a February 22nd live event in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

It was soon reported by POST Wrestling that the ad for the match was incorrect, outdated and would not be happening. Nia Jax was asked about the match with Dean Ambrose while speaking with the media at the WrestleMania 35 media scrum and stated that her schedule with Total Divas conflicted with the live event date and in-turn, things were not able to be worked out from there.

“Unfortunately, my schedule… they didn’t have the schedule right and I had Total Divas that I had to go to so it was more of the scheduling was off and we couldn’t make it work.” Nia claimed.

Nia Jax was also asked about the women's division of NXT and shared that Bianca Belair is her favorite and is hoping that Belair is called up soon because she'll add more flavor to the main roster.

“Oh gosh, Bianca Belair is definitely my favorite." Nia said. "For sure you have to watch out for her coming up in the ranks and hopefully she comes up soon. It’ll be cool because she’d add another little flavor to the roster. She’s such an incredible athlete, and she's strong."

Nia Jax will be in action tomorrow at WrestleMania 35 as she and Tamina will challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships as a part of a Fatal 4-Way tag team match.
