Nia Jax shocked fans during the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble when she took out R-Truth and decided to enter herself as number 30. Nia put up an impressive showing, eliminating Mustafa Ali and taking a 619 courtesy of Rey Mysterio and an RKO courtesy of Randy Orton before her elimination.
Jax, and other WWE superstars, sat down to rewatch the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble (video above), sharing their thoughts as the action unfolded.
"Literally afraid. I thought, 'what if I trip up these stairs and fall on my face?' I was blown away. I was probably on the verge of tears before I ran out there because I couldn't believe it. As I walked, I started to hear a little 'ohhhhh.' Like, 'oh my gosh, she's actually going in," recalled Jax as she watched the attack on R-Truth. "I was so pumped in that moment (entering the ring). My adrenaline was through the roof."
After taking a Dolph Ziggler superkick and getting set up for the 619, Nia said, "It's crazy how fast the moment all went by. I see the looks on [the fans] faces like 'what the heck is happening right now?' People are like cheering for [Rey] to give me a 619. I love it."
And then, Orton delivered the RKO.
"The look on Randy's face," said Nia.
Orton chimed in, saying, "Even with the look on my face after I do it, it's all about those little things. You stick to what you're good at and that's what I'm good at, the little things."
After the RKO, Nia was eliminated by Orton and Mysterio. She said about the experience, "Life is about luck and opportunity, right? I was lucky enough to have the opportunity and blessed enough that I will always be apart of history."
Unfortunately, Nia missed the majority of 2019 after undergoing double ACL surgery in April. She was back at the WWE Performance Center in December, but there is no timetable for her return.
