It’s Halloween weekend in NXT, which means superstars are playing characters that you don’t typically see Wednesday’s on the WWE Network.
For example, Nikki Cross is usually the “angry at the world” female lead in SAnitY. But on Halloween weekend, she’s the fun-loving party starting relative of No Way Jose.
No Way Nikki won’t be a regular in the promotion, but it’s fun to see her show off a different side than we’re used to seeing on television.
Nikki competed as part of a 15-woman Halloween battle royal, which was eventually won by Shayna Baszler. She wasn’t the only female to cosplay as a fellow member of the NXT roster, however -- Rhea Ripley and Lacey Evans also dressed up as NXT tag team the Street Profits.
Other costumes included Ruby Riot as Waldo from the Where's Waldo sereis of children's books, Baszler as Darth Vader, and Scarecrow Dakota Kai. Even the men got in on the action as Buddy Murphy dressed up as a pet pig and Riddick Moss was Batman.
The live event took place in Sanford, Florida in front of a crowd of around 150 people.
