Eric Young is currently one-half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, but the leader of Sanity surprised fans with his appearance at the recent Global Force Wrestling Amped Anthology pay-per-view.
One fan thought that Young’s cameo on the show might mean a full-time comeback for the former Team Canada member.
Unfortunately, Young had to break the sad truth to the fan.
Poor Martin Sutton. He seemed genuinely excited about EY’s return. He’ll be gutted to know that Young appears almost every Wednesday night on the WWE network and won’t be showing up every Thursday on Pop TV.
(Editor's Note: Not sure where ol' Marty got the idea that Eric Young was back on GFW....)
GFW released Part 2 of their Amped Anthology series this past weekend. Part 1 aired in August and Part 3 is scheduled to air sometime in October. The four-part series, which was filmed back in mid-2015 in Las Vegas, includes 16 one-hour episodes featuring current WWE talents such as Young, Bobby Roode, TJ Perkins, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Shelton Benjamin, and the Singh Brothers.
The show highlights the origin of Jeff Jarrett’s Global Force Wrestling before Jarrett eventually turned TNA/Impact Wrestling into GFW. Of course, now GFW in its current form is no more thanks to Jarrett being dismissed and Anthem failing to acquire the rights to the name. Thus, TNA/GFW is now Impact Wrestling again.
No matter the name of the company, one thing is certain: Eric Young is doing just fine leading a group of misfits around Full Sail University.
