Ladders will be climbed and smashed through at the UFC Apex in order to crown the first NXT North Women's American Titleholder.
WWE NXT GM Ava entered the ring on April 30 to declare that the inaugural NXT Women's North American Championship titleholder will be determined by way of a multi-woman Ladder Match at WWE NXT Battleground on June 9.
Competitors in the match will be determined by a system of qualifiers. First, there will be an NXT combine next week, and the 12 women who impressed the most will go on to compete in six qualifiers to determine who will be in the Ladder Match.
Jaida Parker was the first to enter the ring and declare that she wanted to be part of the qualifiers. She would then be joined in the ring by Sol Ruca and Arianna Grace. Then, surprisingly, Michin, who is on the WWE Friday Night SmackDown roster, would join the fray.
All four women would fight and this would lead to the rest of the NXT Women's roster, including names such as Lash Legend and Kelani Jordan, which all run down to begin a massive brawl in the ring.
