Orange Cassidy is feeling grateful.
At AEW Full Gear on Saturday night, Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley squared off in a rematch from All Out, with the International Championship on the line.
While the match was a brutal affair once again, with Moxley unsurprisingly getting opened up early on, this time the result was different. After half a dozen Orange Punches, Orange Cassidy was able to put Moxley down for the three count.
During the AEW Full Gear post show media scrum, Orange was asked where beating Moxley ranks. While Cassidy couldn't specifically name where the victory ranks, he did note it was near the very top. He also explained his gratitude to not only fight Moxley again, but also for being able to defeat him.
"It’s at the very top. I don’t know where it ranks, but we all know, it’s not a secret that Jon Moxley is one of the best professional wrestlers in the world, he’ll go down as one of the best professional wrestlers ever. He is tough. His skull hurts when I punch it. There was a time when Jon Moxley put the company on his shoulders and he carried it through some tough times. There is so much respect I have for Jon Moxley. I knew this mountain of Jon Moxley that I had to climb would be very difficult. I feel very grateful that I had the opportunity to fight him again and I feel very grateful that I beat him. It’s something I never thought possible. I’m wrestling top wrestlers and I’m pinning them."
Cassidy is currently in his second reign as AEW International Champion and has now avenged the loss that ended his first reign.
After the match at the pay-per-view, Wheeler Yuta would bump shoulders with HOOK, signifying that The Best Friends' and company may not be finished with The Blackpool Combat Club yet.
Daniel Garcia recently also said that Jon Moxley is the best wrestler in the world today. You can read more here.
