Orange Cassidy: I Hope I Can Repair My Relationship With Trent Beretta, He Was One Of My Best Friends

Orange Cassidy wants to be friends with Trent Beretta again.

Orange Cassidy previously had a lengthy run alongside Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor as the Best Friends in AEW. However, the group broke up in 2024. Trent Beretta turned on both Cassidy and Taylor, and he took Taylor out with a vicious attack. Cassidy beat Beretta at AEW Double or Nothing and later hit him with a wrench on the July 13th episode of AEW Collision. Beretta then underwent neck surgery in August, and he has been absent ever since.

Speaking on Taylor Talks Wrestling, Orange Cassidy was asked to comment on the status of his relationship with Trent Beretta, and it was noted that he could use Beretta's help in his feud with Jon Moxley.

“Obviously, we saw what happens when I do get pushed a little too far. I hit him in the back of the head with a wrench. That’s not cool [laughs]. He’s been hurt for a very long time. I don’t know if I ever will be able to repair that relationship with Trent. I hope I do, I hope I can because he was one of my best friends for a very long time, but also, I think we could someone like that, I could use someone like that watching my back," Cassidy said.

As of this writing, there is no word on when Trent Beretta will return to AEW programming.

Orange Cassidy previously said that Best Friends did not run its course, and it was cut short. Check out his comments here.
