Orange Cassidy: It Doesn't Matter Who Will Ospreay Is In The Ring With, He Gets The People Going

Orange Cassidy and Will Ospreay met in the ring at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022, with Ospreay picking up the victory, but Cassidy impressed many by going move for move with someone who is considered to be the best wrestler in the world.

Cassidy has continued to rise the ranks in AEW while Ospreay has since signed full-time with AEW, becoming one of the top stars in the promotion.

Speaking to Brandon Walker of Rasslin', Cassidy praised Ospreay.

"Dude, have you heard him talk? Whew. The most British man I’ve ever heard in my life. People think he started saying ‘Bruv’ as a thing, like a catchphrase. No, he says it all the time. I’m going to say something that I believe, that Will Ospreay might be, probably is the best professional wrestler in the world today. Definitely top three. I feel like you can’t say Bryan Danielson because that’s like, ‘Yeah, we know.’ He shouldn’t be put in that…because we all know he is, and he’s holding the championship," said Cassidy. "It doesn’t matter who he’s in the ring with, it doesn’t matter what the situation is. He does a phenomenal job of getting the people going. That's what you want. He hasn’t wrestled in a while, but Kenny Omega, obviously is. I would not put myself up in that echelon."

Ospreay is the reigning AEW International Champion, which the title Cassidy turned into the workhorse title during his reign in 2023.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cassidy praised the AEW women's division. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
