Paige Doesn't Understand Why There Was No WWE Evolution II, Feels A Lot Of Girls Are Held Back

After making history with the first-ever all women's pay-per-view in 2018 with WWE Evolution, the event was not part of the 2019 schedule. On top of that, the Mae Young Classic was not held in 2019 either. Despite the two female showcase events not being held, women in WWE had a banner year, headlining WrestleMania and Survivor Series while also introducing the WWE Women's Tag Team Titles.

But former Divas Champion and current WWE Backstage panelist Paige still doesn't understand the decision not to have WWE Evolution II.

Jimmy Uso: If Sami Zayn Shows Up To Friday's WWE SmackDown, It's Going To Get Real Heated

"I don't understand why don't have another all-girls pay-per-view," she stated on WWE After The Bell. "We had that one-off deal [Evolution], what the hell is that about? Give us one every year. What the fuck? That's the whole purpose. We had a women's evolution for a reason. And let's stop talking about the women's evolution and actually just let the women do whatever they want. I feel like a lot of the girls are being held back. I love the Four Horsewomen, don't get me wrong, but there is a lot of women that should be given an opportunity. As much as I love those four, there are other women in the company."

Paige continued, "It's not the girl's fault. They're trying their hardest on Raw and SmackDown, but whatever is going on, it's not helping them out in any way, shape or form. It's not as exciting to me anymore."

Paige's comments echo a similar sentiment expressed by Corey Graves, who would like a bigger spotlight on the women of Raw and SmackDown. You can view Graves' full comments by clicking here.
