Paige has broken her silence after barely granting interviews for a year.
After a media blackout (kind of), Paige admitted that she didn't want much of a social life after having negativity piled on in her lift for over a year. One of the casualties was a friendship with former WWE Diva's Champion Alicia Fox. Paige recounted their recent history on an episode of Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia.
"I was completely shut off from everything. I stopped speaking to (Alicia Fox) for over a year and a half. You know how you know that's a true friend? She'll constantly text you, and you'll never reply, but when you finally text back and say 'I'm sorry, I love you,' she'll text back and say 'I love you and I'm glad you're back.' As soon as I see her, she welcomes me back with open arms and hugs me. She's a beautiful person," said Paige. "You realize who your real friends are. She hasn't changed towards me. I'm so happy to see her."
Alicia Fox and Paige have more of a history than many realize, wrestling over 70 times in their career, and teaming several times as well. Their friendship was also documented on the WWE reality series, "Total Divas."
Paige would go on to say that her demeanor backstage has changed since her last run with the company, including being more positive and professional.
