Paul Heyman: We're Dominating Whatever Inning We're In, I Would Suggest There May Be Many Extra Innings

Paul Heyman suggest that extra innings could be at play for the story of The Bloodline.

Following the conclusion of WrestleMania 39, where Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes and retained the Undisputed Universal Championship, Paul Heyman made a bold statement about the status of The Bloodline's story, noting that it was only in the third inning.

Since then, Heyman has been asked to provide an update on the current inning on a number of occasions.

In a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Heyman was asked the same question, but instead of responding with what inning the story is in, the 'Wiseman' suggested that the game could go into many extra innings, partially due to The Rock's involvement.

“Every time I talk about innings, it gets shoved up my tuchus. Also, I’ve kind of gotten away from baseball analogies because I’ve learned in my experience that baseball is fake. Whatever inning that we’re in, we’re dominating that inning and it’s a game that I would suggest may go into many extra innings as well and some of that we have to give credit to the final boss, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, for adding a whole new set of layers and therefore innings to the story of The Bloodline.”

Roman Reigns is set to once again defend the Undisputed Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in the night two main event of WrestleMania 40. Fans can check out the updated card for both nights of the event by clicking here.

Heyman was recently named the director and executive producer of an upcoming episode of 'WWE: Legends'. Learn more here.
