Peggy Fowler, better known to wrestling fans as Peggy Lee Leather, has passed away.
Lee started training in the 1980s under the Fabulous Moolah. She competed for WWE in the early to mid-80s, forming a tag team with Wendi Richter and challenging for the WWF Women's Tag Team Championships. When Richter turned face and become WWF Women's Champion, Peggy Lee was one of her challengers.
She was part of the All Japan Women tour in the 1980s and wrestled for the AWA, Mid-Atlantic, Stampede, and St. Louis. She also made brief appearances in WCW and competed for Ladies Professional Wrestling Association and WOW Women of Wrestling.
She is a former NWA World Women's Champion.
