Powerhouse Hobbs confirms that he is cleared to compete.
Powerhouse Hobbs has not wrestled since the April 24th episode of AEW Dynamite, where he lost to Jon Moxley. He suffered a knee injury in the match, and he underwent surgery. On September 28th, Fightful Select reported that Hobbs had been cleared to return to return to the ring.
Speaking with Baby Huey on In The Kliq, Powerhouse Hobbs confirmed that he was cleared to return after suffering a ruptured patella tendon. He stated that it was time to pick up where he left off.
"Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury. Me being me, I've been cleared. Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I'm cleared. I'm back. It's already been put out in the internet world that I'm cleared. Time to pick up where I left off," Hobbs said.
As of this writing, there is no word on when Powerhouse Hobbs will return to AEW programming. Fightful will provide more information as it becomes available.
