Powerhouse Hobbs Discusses AEW Returning To The Bay Area, His Training Schedule

Powerhouse Hobbs has been sidelined since April with a knee injury, but with AEW coming to San Jose for Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, he's doing media for the company.

Hobbs appeared on NBC Bay Area to discuss AEW returning to the bay area.

"It's not our first time here in the Bay Area. Any time I get a chance to come home, I'm getting these feelings of when I was a young kid and I would go to these wrestling events with my grandparents. I get to do it in front of fans, family, and peers," he said.

Asked about his training schedule, Hobbs said, "I'm up at 5 in the morning. I eat, sneak out the house when my kids are sleeping, get in the gym for a couple of hours. Watch some footage, strengthing, getting a massage, cryotherapy. A lot of preparation. We're 52 weeks a year. We have no offseason. We're on the road every week, sometimes multiple days."

Fightful Select reported on September 28 that Hobbs had been cleared and has been backstage at recent AEW events.

It is unknown when Hobbs will return to AEW TV.
