Powerhouse Hobbs has become one of the featured players in AEW over the years as a former AEW TNT Champion who is now aligned with the Don Callis family and destroying Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite.
Hobbs has done extra work for WWE in the past, but has never been signed to the promotion.
Hobbs joined Lori Fetrick, a.k.a Ice Ice Baby from the American Gladiators, on Chillin with ICE, and was asked about his next step and whether it was hard to get to WWE.
"We're on the same level as them. We're their competitors. They're on national TV and we're on national TV. We go head-to-head. We're right on them. We've beat them in ratings at times. We're right there on their neck. There are two major companies in this business, and it's WWE and AEW. We're right there with them. When people say, 'Do you ever want to go to WWE?' I tell people, we're right there with them. If you're watching AEW or watching WWE, I think any wrestling fan should watch all wrestling. You're getting all types of flavors. We're right there on their neck," he said.
AEW Dynamite won the infamous Wednesday Night Wars when they were head-to-head weekly with NXT.
Hobbs is set to be in action on the November 15 episode of AEW Dynamite when he teams with other members of the Don Callis family to take on Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, Chris Jericho, and Paul Wight.
