QT Marshall recalls John Cena's advice.
In March 2023, John Cena paid a visit to Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall's wrestling school, the Nightmare Factory. During his visit, Cena spoke to the school's students and gave some of them advice.
QT Marshall was able to soak in some wise words from John Cena as well. During a recent interview with the K100 podcast, Marshall recalled Cena telling him to just ask his boss what he wants from him.
"John Cena was at the school, because of Cody, he was talking to the kids. We went into the office and he was talking to Cody about some stuff. He asked me, ‘I know you work for the other company, but is there anything I can answer for you?’ ‘Yeah, I’m a VP, but of course I want to wrestle.’ ‘Just ask your boss what he wants. If you give him what he wants, there is nothing you can worry about. You’re doing what he asked you to do. If it’s something you genuinely feel strongly about, that you don’t want to do it or you have another idea, then do it, just know that you’re on the hook. If it doesn’t work, you’re on the hook.’ It really makes sense. I know when I want something from my wife, I have to give her what she wants first. Life isn’t that hard."
