Qualifying matches will continue on AEW Dynamite.
Adam Copeland was forced to relinquish the TNT Championship after he suffered a fractured tibia at AEW Double or Nothing. A new champion will be crowned in a Ladder Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. On the May 31 episode of AEW Rampage, Konosuke Takeshita beat Penta El Zero Miedo to qualify. Mark Briscoe then defeated Brian Cage on the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite to qualify.
During the June 7 episode of AEW Rampage, the broadcast team noted that qualifying matches would continue on the June 12 episode of AEW Dynamite. Additional details are not known at this time.
