Randy Orton is a sensitive guy.
Randy Orton is, at times, the most sadistic person on the WWE roster. On more than one occasion he tried to burn someone alive, he was one of the last male Superstars to attack Stephanie McMahon unprovoked, he punted Vince McMahon in the skull, twisted a screwdriver into the opening of Jeff Hardy's ear, and has done just about every dastardly thing imaginable to Bray Wyatt.
But, there is a sensitive side to Randy Orton and it comes out while he's watching TV shows and movies.
On the latest Wives of Wrestling podcast, Randy's wife, Kim, reveals some of Randy's more sensitive moments that have come out while he is watching great TV shows or movies.
For example, she says that Randy Orton was immediately hooked on the smash HBO series, Euphoria. Specifically, Randy Orton was enthralled by the storyline following the downward spiral of Zendaya's character, Rue.
“This Euphoria show, Randy right away, got very hooked because of Rue,” Kim reveals. “Because she loses her dad and that's how she starts spiraling into this drug habit. He's, he's just like, ‘Oh my God, kids are really going through this. I wonder how many teenage kids — how many of them are on drugs? How many of the girls think that they have to give their bodies up to these little teenage boys who don't know shit about shit!?’ It's very sweet to see these big, burly, mean, scary guys turn to mush just from watching a movie or something.”
Kim also revealed that Randy Orton cries during the Disney animated movie, Moana, no matter how many times he’s seen it. She also says that it's something their son, Anthony, never fails to laugh at him for.
"Anthony laughs at him all the time. Anthony's 11, so when he sees Randy crying during Moana, he’s like, ‘are you crying again, Randy? Like, we've seen this movie 30 times.’”
But what part makes Randy Orton cry? Surprisingly, it is not when Dwayne Johnson starts singing “You're Welcome.”
“He cries when [Moana is] on the boat with her grandmother and her grandmother is telling her, ‘You got this. You were chosen for a reason.’ Then he starts, ‘I wonder what our kids are gonna be when they grow up.’ It's the cutest thing,” she said.
There you have it. Even Randy Orton cries at Disney films.
As for the world of Euphoria, Randy's fellow WWE Raw Superstar, Liv Morgan recently spoke to Sean Ross Sapp about the show and who her favorite characters are. Learn more here.
