Plans can change, but as of now, the plan is for Charlotte Flair to challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania 36.

The report comes from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.

Additionally, Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Charlotte is scheduled to be in Orlando this Wednesday for NXT.

Charlotte won the 2020 Women's Royal Rumble, giving her the choice to face Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch, SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley, or NXT Champion Ripley. Charlotte appeared on Monday's WWE Raw, but didn't make her decision. She was confronted by Women's Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) in the segment.

It was reported on Monday afternoon by Meltzer that Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler is "on the books" for WrestleMania 36 while Charlotte is not scheduled to face Bayley. On Monday night, he confirmed that the plan, as of now, is Charlotte vs. Ripley.

Ripley scored a pinfall over Charlotte in a triple threat match on the WWE SmackDown before Survivor Series 2019.

WWE has not confirmed the WrestleMania bout between Flair and Ripley, nor Charlotte appearing on Wednesday's NXT.
