Daniel Bryan is not budging.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Daniel Bryan will not be going to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel this Friday. During Raw last night, WWE was still advertising Bryan's match with AJ Styles for the event. He is also still being advertised on WWE's website.
Robbie Fox of Barstool Sports first reported Bryan's refusal to work the event.
In the same report, Fox said John Cena was also refusing to go to Saudi Arabia. Cena was advertised all the way up until last night's Raw, where he was removed from the World Cup and replaced by Bobby Lashley.
According to Johnson, WWE were making plans to have the Styles and Bryan bout take place at the WWE Performance Center and then airing it during the Crown Jewel broadcast on Friday. However, those plans were scrapped.
Bryan is scheduled for a face-off with Styles at tonight's SmackDown Live.
Fightful will provide live coverage of SmackDown and a post-show podcast. If anything changes with Bryan's status for Crown Jewel, we'll be sure to update fans on the situation.
