Finn Balor isn't Intercontinental Champion, and won't be on the road for WWE if he has his way.
According to a report from Ryan Satin of Pro Wreslting Sheet, Finn Balor asked WWE officials for two months off from WWE, with one source saying that he needed to "recharge." Balor has worked over 150 matches during the last year with WWE. The report states that the time off will kick off next month.
Balor lost the Intercontinental Championship to Shinsuke Nakamura on the Extreme Rules Kickoff Show. The 37-year old Balor is a two-time champion and also won the WWE Universal Championship back in 2016 after a successful, extended run on NXT.
Though Balor had been Intercontinental Champion since April's WrestleMania show, he has rarely wrestled on television over the past two months, only having four matches. Following WWE Super Showdown, Balor actually didn't wrestle on WWE TV for over a month.
