The Goldberg teases will never end.
According to TMZ, former WCW and World Heavyweight Champion Bill Goldberg is in talks for a WWE return. A source told TMZ that the wheels are in motion for a return, and that Goldberg thinks that life is too short to dwell upon past differences.
Goldberg last appeared in a WWE ring over twelve years ago, defeating Brock Lesnar in a highly anticipated but disappointing match at WrestleMania 20. The bout served as the last Goldberg would compete in, and Lesnar's last in a WWE ring for seven years.
WWE and Goldberg have been playing footsie with the idea of working together again for quite some time. During his SummerSlam week promotion of WWE 2K17, Goldberg called out Seth Rollins, Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker and virtually anyone else he could mention, before telling fans on Twitter to "let the young guys do it" when he didn't appear at Summerslam.
Goldberg will appear in the upcoming WWE 2K17 game, which we've seen as a gateway in the past for Brock Lesnar, Sting, Ultimate Warrior, and others to get involved with WWE again.
