Joey Mercury gone from ROH.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports Joey Mercury and Ring of Honor have split ways. Mercury was working as a trainer at the ROH Dojo, along with being part of the creative team and helping out as a producer backstage. Mercury was reportedly removed from his positions this week with his removal being a "mutually agreed upon decision" following ROH's recent Honor United tour in the UK.
Mercury has a non-compete clause, though it was not specified when that ends. Mercury joined ROH in May 2018 as a trainer for the Baltimore Dojo. He began working as a producer and creative team member in February 2019.
He previously wrestled for ROH from 2002 to 2004 before returning to the promotion in 2008.
In other ROH news, the promotion announced their weekly television show will now air on Fight Network UK in the United Kingdom beginning on Nov. 8. You can view the announcement on the new deal by clicking here.
