Report: Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn Sent Home From European Tour For 'Going Into Business For Themselves'

It is being reported that both Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were sent home from the WWE European tour.

PWInsider was the one who reported this, saying that they were sent home from the Smackdown side of the tour following tapings in Manchester, England last night.. They say there are conflicting reasons why this all went down, but they contacted multiple sources who confirmed that both men were sent back to the United States today.

Sports Illustrated's Justin Barrasso reported that the reason they were sent home was for conduct detrimental to the WWE, and that Owens and Zayn's offense was "going into business for themselves" when it came to their on camera work on yesterday's episode of Smackdown.

Pro Wrestling Sheet had further details, saying the specific incident was after the match. Owens and Zayn were supposed to feed, or take offense from, the New Day and be sent away, but Owens and Zayn left the ring instead, which led to them being sent home.

Both Zayn and Owens were on last night's episode of Smackdown. They started the show with a promo between them and Shane McMahon, who they had been feuding with for the last several weeks. It led to a match between Sami Zayn and Kofi Kingston, where Kingston won with a crossbody. The New Day drove them out after the match.

Zayn and Owens have recently been teaming with one another following Hell in a Cell, when Zayn turned heel and helped Owens escape from an elbow by Shane McMahon who leaped off the top of the cell. The two have been tag team partners and associates in storyline in the weeks since then.

We don't have any further information at this time about why they were sent home. Fightful will have an update on the situation as soon as possible.
