Fans could be seeing more of Leon Ruff on WWE television.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports Leon Ruff has signed a deal with WWE NXT. Fightful has confirmed Ruff's signing.
Ruff has appeared on Raw, SmackDown, Main Event, NXT, and 205 Live during the empty arena era after previously working for EVOLVE.
WWE acquired EVOLVE on July 2 and reportedly acquired several talents in the deal, though Ruff is the first confirmed signing.
WWE released a feature video on Ruff, which you can view above. In the video, Ruff said, "It's been a crazy rollercoaster. The Aleister [Black] match was supposed to be a one-off thing and then to find out I get brought back to wrestle him on Raw was really cool. Three years earlier, I paid for close to front row seats to Raw. To go from there to being in the ring was a really special moment because my mom and dad got to see me wrestle on TV."
Ruff first appeared on the March 20 episode of Main Event, losing quickly to Aleister Black. They ran the match back on a subsequent episode of WWE Raw.
He continued, "I wasn't working during the pandemic, I started getting these extra spots and I really started working hard so they could keep bringing me back so I could start bringing more money in to help contribute to the household."
Ruff is currently dating NXT Referee Aja Smith. He must recently wrestled Drake Maverick on the July 24 episode of 205 Live.
