According to Wade Keller with PWTorch, It appears that Max Dupri will be finished in his role with the Maximum Male Models. While Max might be finished with the role, the gimmick will still be continued by his storyline sister Maxine Dupri, also known as Sofia Cromwell.
The report had indicated that there were sources saying that Max Durpi (real name Shaun Ricker) had been rubbing some people the wrong way and wasn't fitting in. This lead to the decision being made by Vince McMahon, who is now retired, to write him out of the storyline a couple weeks ago.
Max knew that he was making his final appearance in that role on SmackDown when he had announced that his sister would be appearing.
Previously known in NXT as LA Knight, Max Dupri had officially made his SmackDown debut on May 20, 2022 when he introduced himself to Adam Pearce in a backstage segment. Before that, he was last seen in April of 2022, losing a match to Gunther. Prior to his SmackDown debut, he was seen frequently in dark segments promoting his agency. During his time with NXT, he had held the Million Dollar Championship.
Fightful will update fans on the status of Max Dupri if and when more is known.
