LA Knight's return is apparently imminent, according to a new report.
Max Dupri turned on the Maximum Male Models (ma.cé and mån.sôör) on the September 30 episode of WWE SmackDown. When he walked away from the group, he said, "Yeah," in a nod to the LA Knight character that he used to play on NXT. This followed a few similar teases in previous weeks.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Dupri is now listed as LA Knight on WWE's internal roster, which seemingly suggests that the character will return soon.
Additionally, Johnson notes that the Maxium Male Models are slated to continue with the trio of ma.cé and mån.sôör, and Maxxine Dupri.
Max Dupri previously debuted on SmackDown in May, and after a few delays, he revealed ma.çé and mån.sôör as his clients. Maxxine joined them in July, seemingly casting doubt on Max's future with the group. While he later realigned with them, he has been growing frustrated with their losses and teasing a character change in recent weeks.
During his time in NXT, Knight won the Million Dollar Championship and memorably feuded with Cameron Grimes. He last wrestled at NXT Stand & Deliver in April, where he lost to Gunther.
