Report: Oney Lorcan Set To Undergo Surgery For A Broken Orbital Bone

Oney Lorcan gave it all in that match.

Last Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Chicago II, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch challenged The Undisputed ERA's Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly for their NXT Tag Team Championships. The "one-two" combo of Burch and Lorcan took the fight to O'Reilly and Strong but were not able to overcome and failed in their attempt to capture the NXT Tag Team Titles at their first TakeOver event.

Oney Lorcan risked life and limb during the match as there was one spot where he took a tumble and landed back-first on the ring apron. Apparently there was another rough spot for Oney as PWInsider reported that he suffered a broken orbital bone during the match as well. Lorcan did not compete at the NXT TV tapings this past Thursday and the site noted that Lorcan will be undergoing surgery as soon as possible for the injury and at this time there is no current timetable on a return to the ring for "The Boston Goblin".

Oney was not too pleased about the report concerning his injury coming out as he noted on Twitter, "Who stooged me out?"
