WWE Superstar Paige may be on her way out of WWE. She is currently serving a 30-day suspension for violating the wellness policy. Her romantic relationship with Alberto Del Rio becoming relevant because he was suspended for the same reason hours before. Also there an incident with police at the Money in the Bank PPV. Other reports have been shared that WWE did not approve of the relationship and claims WWE tried to end the relationship.
On Friday, Alberto Del Rio was released from WWE. Rumors began to circulate Paige would be leaving soon. "MMA Insider" Front Row Brian tweeted "BREAKING. @RealPaigeWWE quit WWE this week and has hired legal representation" and caused a kerfluffle on the wrestling part of the internet. This comes off the heels of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Paige acquired legal representation.
Paige came into WWE in a flurry, winning the NXT Women's Title and WWE Diva's in 2014. Her last match on TV was June 6th 2016 when she was in a tag match. Some fans point to her match against Emma in 2013 as a prelude to "The Diva's Revolution" which led to female wrestlers being called "Superstars" like male wrestlers and the new WWE Women's Championship. The two-time world champion is twenty-four-years-old and a second generation wrestler.
Del Rio and possibly Paige may join the list of wrestlers who left WWE in 2016. Cody Rhodes is among those wrestlers who left WWE this year, he has been seen at PWG and Evolve recently. Rhodes has also been connected to ROH and NJPW.
