More unfortunate news for Samoa Joe as he reportedly suffered an injury while filming a commercial and has not been cleared to wrestle.
Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Joe was filming a WWE commercial and hit his head during a table spot. Sources told Satin that Joe could be out of action for a "considerable amount of time," though no timetable or official diagnosis was given. Dave Meltzer later reported that Joe's injury was a concussion.
Joe has battled injury issues since the end of 2019. He was sidelined with a broken thumb from September 2019 to January 2020. During his time away, Joe appeared as a special guest analyst on WWE Backstage and guest commentator on WWE Raw. On Jan. 27, Joe reportedly suffered a concussion during a tag team match. He was out of action for a couple of weeks before returning at a live event on Feb. 8.
Joe is currently aligned with Kevin Owens and The Viking Raiders in their feud against Seth Rollins, Murphy, and The AOP. He did not appear on Monday's episode of WWE Raw.
