Updates on talents leaving STARDOM.
Tokyo Sports is reporting that four wrestlers additional wrestlers are slated to be leaving STARDOM at the end of March. These names are Utami Hayashishita, MIRAI, Yuzuki, and Mai Sakurai.
They join Giulia, who was reported to be leaving earlier this month and has received reported interest from WWE as well. All four, along with Giulia, are expected to join STARDOM founder Rossy Ogawa’s new promotion.
Hayashishita, 25, is the biggest name heading to Ogawa’s promotion. She is a former World of Stardom Champion and 5STAR Grand Prix winner, having been one of the top stars in the company since she debuted back in 2018. She has been the leader of Queen’s Quest since 2022. Hayashishita is currently one-half of the Goddesses of Stardom Champions with her tag team partner, Saya Kamitani. Tokyo Sports added that she has no interest in going abroad and is likely to stay in Japan moving forward.
MIRAI came over to STARDOM at the start of 2022 from Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW). Since then, she’s been nothing but successful as she became the second wrestler in the history of STARDOM to win two Cinderella Tournaments. She is also a former Wonder of Stardom Champion and Goddesses of Stardom Champion. Currently, she holds one-third of the Artist of Stardom Titles.
Sakurai has been a key act in STARDOM since joining the promotion in 2021. As part of Donna del Mondo, she became quite popular with the live crowds. In 2023, she made it to the finals of the Cinderella Tournament and was part of the Bari Bari Bombers with Giulia and Thekla, as they held the Artist of Stardom Titles for 221 days.
