Fightful reported back in January that Dawson and Wilder expressed discontent about their position within WWE, and asked for their releases. WWE reportedly asked them to ride things out and see where they stood in the weeks that followed. The duo had a short reign as Raw Tag Team Champions before losing the titles at WrestleMania 35.
