Chris Jericho's 2018 continues to be unique.
Since the beginning of 2018, Chris Jericho showed up on New Japan Pro Wrestling with the permission of Vince McMahon and then came back to appear on the 25th anniversary episode of Raw. It appeared he was going to take on Tetsuya Naito at the NJPW event Strong Style Evolved but Jericho said he was done with the company on Twitter. He has also been on tour with his band Fozzy and has planned a cruise this fall with wrestling, comedy, and music.
Today, PWInsider reported WWE reached out to Jericho to appear at The Greatest Royal Rumble which will be an event in Saudi Arabia featuring a 50-Man Royal Rumble. Jericho has appeared in ten of the normal Royal Rumble matches and has the record for most cumulative time in Royal Rumble matches and lasted an hour in 2017.
Also reported today, WWE has scheduled The Undertaker to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble. The event is part of a social and economic reform plan in Saudi Arabia and Vince McMahon said the event was important for the WWE expansion into international markets.
