Even more WWE Superstars that have been integral parts of storylines in 2020 have been deemed unfit to appear at WrestleMania 36.
PWInsider Is reporting that Murphy was originally supposed to appear on the March 30th episode of Monday Night Raw as well as WrestleMania 36, but was not cleared to appear and as such will not be a part of either show.
Murphy has been a major factor in the Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens rivalry on Monday Night Raw. For the better portion of 2020, Murphy has acted as the main disciple of Seth Rollins along with AOP. However, with Rezar tearing his bicep and Murphy not cleared, Rollins is now going it alone against Owens at WrestleMania.
Additionally, it was originally reported that Cesaro and Asuka were also out of action for the time being, according to Wrestling Inc. However, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that both are fine and worked the tapings this past week in some capacity.
Asuka is one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions and is slated to face Alexa Bliss on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown and Cesaro is set to act as a second for Shinsuke Nakamura in his match against Drew Gulak.
These three names are just the latest in the litany of WWE Superstars to be pulled in one fashion or another from WrestleMania 36. Perhaps the biggest name is Roman Reigns, who will no longer be challenging for the WWE Universal Championship. Learn who his replacement will be at this link.
