Live Coverage

- The show opens with Renee Paquette interviewing Jay White. White spoke about his alliance with Rated FTR when the Death Riders (PAC, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta, and Claudio Castagnoli) appeared on the scene to confront him. Cope, Dax Harwood, and Cash Wheeler appeared behind them, and a brawl ensued once Marina Shafir yoinked Renee, lifting her up and taking her out of the picture. They brawled into the arena, and once the babyfaces cleared the ring, Cope got on the microphone and asked Moxley to accept his challenge for a championship match at AEW Revolution.

Moxley did his best impression of Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka and told him he got nothing. So Jay White challenged him to a No DQ tag match at the AEW Grand Slam: White and Cope vs. MOX and Claudio. He accepted.

- Kazuchika Okada vs. Buddy Matthews is confirmed for AEW Grand Slam

* Will Ospreay def. Mark Davis

- Mark Davis was revealed to be Don Callis's hitman. Clearly, he wasn't happy about what he had to do, but he tried to fulfill his contractual obligations. After the match, Ospreay Introduces Kenny Omega, who tries to say to Mark Davis that there's always an ally and he doesn't have to be a slave to Don. Omega then hyped his tag match at AEW Grand Slam.

- A Ricochet/Strickland promo package plays.

- Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, MVP, Shelton Benjamin) appears. MVP hypes up the new champions. He says they will visit whatever wrestlers they want and hurt them when they're ready, but until then, they're open to challengers approaching them. This sets up the return of Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn. They said they want a Championship opportunity. MVP agrees to give them one next week because he respects their father, Billy Gunn.. He calls them ass boys, but they embrace it.

- Renee Paquette interviews Harley Cameron, who's carrying her Mercedes Muppet. She noticed she'll be in concert this Saturday. The real Mercedes comes up and still refuses to give her a TBS Title Shot.

- Renee interviews Hangman Page. He says going into Swerve's locker room last week was a moment of weakness, and he doesn't want to talk about it again. He stands his ground on retiring Christopher Daniels. Max Caster is shown sitting off to the side, trying to hurry him up. He suggests that Hangman hospitalize Anthony Bowens or Billy Gunn next, but Hanger says he would rather hospitalize him.

* Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita def. Buddy Matthews & Brody King

- Backstage, Samoa Joe and HOOK go looking for Christian Cage. They find Nick Wayne and Kip Sabian instead and beat them down in their locker room. Christian and Mother Wayne can be seen peeking in as the attack is going on, but they hide and only check on Kip and Nick after the beatdown.

- MJF comes out to address Jeff Jarrett. He's making fun of Jeff for being old but gets interrupted by Max Caster. Hangman Page comes down and chases him off. Dustin Rhodes interrupts Max next. Max makes fun of his past drug addiction and jokes about him now being in the spotlight of Cody. They start brawling. They're separated, but Max breaks free and kicks Dustin in the balls.

* "Timeless" Toni Storm def. Queen Aminata

- Toni is currently portraying Mariah, May. Mariah, who was providing commentary, attempted to confront Toni after she made fun of her in a post-match interview but ultimately backed down.

- A Chris Jericho New York Minute sees Jericho challenge Bryan Keith to hurt Bandido. If he is successful, he will receive a $200,000 reward. Big Bill brags about hurting Will Hobbs, which directly leads to the return of Powerhouse Hobbs as he and The Outrunners brawl with Jericho and company.
