IMPACT Wrestling Results for 3/17/20 The North Retains, ICU Identity Revealed

Hey Fight Fans, it's time for tonight's edition of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV and Twitch TV headlined by a tag team title match between the champions The North and Fallah Bahh and TJP!

JBL Comments On His Appearance At GCW Dream On

-We open the show with a recap of last week's main event that ended in chaos before we're told that Ken Shamrock will make a major career decision later tonight before we go to the ring for our opening match for the IMPACT World Championship between the champions The North and the challengers Fallah Bahh and TJP.

IMPACT World Tag Team Championship Match

The North (c) vs TJP & Fallah Bahh

All four men square off before Bahh sends Ethan out of the ring and hits Josh with a scoop slam before he and TJP double up on Josh, Bahh hitting a belly to belly suplex for two before TJP goes for a knee bar, but Josh is too strong. TJP fights out of the opposite corner before Josh counters a tornado DDT and Josh hits an assisted DDT before dragging TJP to the corner and tagging Ethan in who stomps TJP and drops him with a right hand before hitting him with shoulder thrusts in the corner. TJP comes back and chops Josh who kicks his knee out and slams him down before hitting a jumping fist drop and locking in a rear headlock before driving his knee into the spine of TJP and Ethan hits a jarring backbreaker after playing to the crowd. TJP rolls Josh up for two before Bahh gets tagged, but the referee doesn't see it before Ethan drops TJP with a shoulder block and mocks Bahh before The North isolate the former WWE Cruiserweight champion. TJP then fights back and takes out both of The North and gets the tag to Bahh who hits running clotheslines and hip attacks in opposite corners before hitting a back body drop and a sit-out powerbomb for two before Josh takes out TJP with a running cross body through the ropes as we go to commercial.

We come back to Josh in control of TJP, chopping him against the ropes before TJP hops and tags Bahh and he hits a code breaker into a running cross body by Bahh for a near fall that Ethan breaks up before Josh and TJP exchange until TJP drops Josh and everyone hits a move before collapsing to the mat. Josh slams Bahh down before Ethan hits a swanton and The North hit an assisted Styles clash for a near fall before TJP hits a diving cross body before landing on his feet when he misses a flipping senton and locks in a knee bar before transitioning into a twister as Bahh puts Josh in an octopus stretch. Josh knocks Bahh into the referee before TJP submits Ethan, but the referee doesn't see it before TJP hits a wrecking ball dropkick and Bahh sends Josh out of the ring before hitting a suicide dive. Ethan drops Bahh with a roundhouse before TJP sends Ethan and Josh into each other and hits a tornado DDT before Ethan drops him from hitting the Detonation Kick and The North hit the Northern Assault for the pin and the win.

Winner: The North retain their IMPACT World Tag Team championships by defeating TJP and Fallah Bahh via pinfall.

-After the match we get a video package narrated by Eddie Edwards about Lockdown as we get a message on the screen that says that Lockdown is postponed and to go to IMPACT's site for details before we get a video of Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary in a pseudo wives segment as we go to commercial.

-We come back to a breakdown of the card for Lockdown which is canceled due to the Coronavirus before we go to the ring for the debut of Chris Bey.

Chris Bey vs Damian Drake

They lock up before exchanging headlocks and Chris drops him opponent with a jumping shoulder block before hitting a huricanrrana and sweeping his opponent's legs before hitting a single leg dropkick that sends him out of the ring. Chris hits a flipping senton over the top rope and follows up with an enzuigiri into a running uppercut in the corner and an enzuigiri into a rolling neckbreaker before Drake rolls him up and hits a backbreaker into a flat liner for a quick one count. Chris then superkicks Drake and hits a huricanrrana into the middle turnbuckle before dropping him with a jumping spin kick into a springboard famouser for the pin and the win.

Winner: Chris Bey defeats Damian Drake via pinfall.

-After the match we go to highlights of a match between Ken Shamrock and Malice with Ricky Steamboat as the referee in which Ken won with a belly to belly suplex to become the NWA World Heavyweight champion before we go to Alissa talking to Jordynne Grace about making a comeback, lobbying for a match with Grace, but Grace just gets annoyed and puts on headphones before Alissa leaves as we go to commercial.

-We come back to a video package for Tenille Dashwood before we go to a backstage interview with another TNA alum in the form of Chase Stevens only for Chase to be interrupted by Moose before they exchange words and they exchange before we go to the semifinals of Gutcheck as we go to commercial.

-We come back to a sit-down interview with the IMPACT World champion Tessa Blanchard where Jimmy Jacobs asks her about her time as champion and the upcoming triple threat match for her title against Eddie Edwards and Michael Elgin.

Joey Ryan & RVD w/ Katie Forbes vs The Deaners

Jake immediately drops Joey and drapes him over the top rope before Cody knocks him off for two and stomps Joey down in the corner before Joey comes back with a jawbreaker and crotches Cody on the top rope before tagging in RVD who hits a springboard side kick that knocks Cody off of the top rope and down onto the floor. RVD stomps Cody once he gets back into the ring and hits a scoop slam before playing to the crowd and hits another scoop slam before teasing the Rolling Thunder, but instead tags Joey in who punches Cody in the corner. Jake comes in and drops Joey with a clothesline before hitting a falcon arrow for two and spears RVD in the corner before dropping Joey with a high knee before tagging Cody in and Katie distracts Cody before Joey superkicks him. Joey then takes out Jake on the apron before RVD hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the pin and the win.

Winner: RVD and Joey Ryan defeat The Deaners via pinfall.

-After the match we go to a brief interview with Ken Shamrock backstage who was told to come for a surprise as we go to commercial.

-We come back to Ace Austin talking to his new partner Willie Mack ahead of their tag title match next week before we go to the ring for a match between Kiera Hogan and Lacey Ryan.

Kiera Hogan vs Lacey Ryan

Kiera rocks Lacey with a boot when he comes in before Lacey hits a release German suplex and a dropkick before smashing her face into the top turnbuckle and hitting a snap mare before missing a slingshot elbow drop. Kiera traps Lacey between the ropes before hitting an ax kick for two and sends Lacey into the turnbuckle before choking her in the corner and Lacey comes back with open handed palm strikes before Kiera comes back with a running dropkick in the corner for a near fall. They counter each other before Kiera locks in a body scissors and locks in a sleeper before Lacey gets to her feet and rocks Kiera with a right hand before Kiera counters a fireman's carry. Lacey hits several clotheslines into a knee before whipping Kiera into the corner and hitting a slingshot elbow drop before hitting a high knee lift for a near fall before Lacey misses a frog splash and Kiera hits a fireman's neckbreaker for the pin and the win.

Winner: Kiera Hogan defeats Lacey Ryan via pinfall.

-After the match we go backstage to Su Yung reading a letter by James Mitchell before everything goes red and she starts shaking as we go to commercial.

-We come back to a video package for Michael Elgin for the canceled match between him, Eddie Edwards and Tessa Blanchard at Lockdown while is canceled.

Jake Crist vs Daga

They exchange standing switches and wrist locks before Jake hits a snap mare into a headlock and Daga counters into a grounded hammer lock before Jake gets to the rope for the break. Daga takes Jake down and locks in a straight armbar before getting two off of a crucifix before mocking Jake who tells him to bring it and backs into the ropes before exchanging and running the ropes until Daga hits an arm drag into another deep armbar. They end up on the apron before Jake sends Daga face first into the edge of the apron, his knee smashing into it before Jake catches Daga with a rolling kick when he teases a suicide dive before Jake hits a suicide dive into a DDT onto the floor as we go to commercial.

We come back to Jake hitting a side Russian leg sweep before locking in a stump puller and they rock each other with roundhouse kicks before clothes lining each other before exchanging strikes until Daga gets a near fall off of an inside cradle. Daga hits a sit-out powerbomb before Jake counters a Tiger driver and drops Daga with a flurry of kicks for a near fall before they exchange German suplexes, Daga getting a near fall off of a bridging German suplex. Jake then catches Daga in mid-air with a cutter for a near fall before Daga hits a half nelson suplex into a butterfly code breaker for the pin and the win.

Winner: Daga defeats Jake Crist via pinfall

-After the match we go backstage to security grabbing someone and throwing them out of the building, security believing that they've found the hacker as we go to commercial.

-We come back to find out that Ryan Cage had been mistaken for the hacker before he's carted off anyway under the orders of Scott D'Amore before we get a rundown for the canceled Lockdown card and an inter-gender tag match is announced for next week as we as a seven man number one contender match for the X-Division championship before we go to a video package for TNA No Place Like Home which has also been canceled as Wrestlecon and everything associated with it has been canceled. We then go to Josh in the ring where he talks about the return of the King of the Mountain match before Ken Shamrock comes out to the ring and is announced for joining the IMPACT Wrestling Hall of Fame before we get a video package for Ken before the video is interrupted by ICU and the lights go out before they come back on and Sami Callihan has returned to hit Ken with a fireball before holding up his phone and the lights go back out before Sami disappears as we go off the air with Scott, Josh, referees and a doctor checking on Ken.
