Match By Match Recap

(Note: I apologize for missing the first two matches of the event, I got the bell time wrong for the event)

Suzuki-Gun (Minoru Suzuki & Taichi) vs. Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga)

The match begins with Tonga jumping Suzuki during his entrance, Suzuki recovers and he takes Tonga into the crowd. Tonga attacks Suzuki with a purse as Suzuki attacks him with a chair, Suzuki then grabs Tonga and throws him into a wall. Tonga finds a chair and he attacks Suzuki with it, Takahashi and Taichi are also brawling somewhere in the crowd. Suzuki brings Tonga into the ring and he works him over, Suzuki drops Tonga and then catches him with a penalty kick. Suzuki eventually locks Tonga in a sleeper hold in between striking exchanges, Takahashi and Taichi get the tags from their partners.

Suzuki and Tonga start brawling again on the arena floor, Takahashi drops Taichi before nailing him with a drop kick. Takahashi misses a charge to the corner and Taichi kicks him in the face, Taichi gets a near fall after nailing Takahashi with another kick. El Desparado interferes and that allows Taichi to grab the microphone stand, Takahashi grabs his pimp cane and he nails Taichi with it. Takahashi nails Taichi with Pimp Juice for the three count.

Winners: Bullet Club (Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga)

Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs. Bullet Club (Kenny Omega & Chase Owens)

The match begins with Omega going to work on the arm of Kojima, Kojima gets free and he does some work on Omega’s arm as well. Kojima eventually drops a swinging Omega with a shoulder tackle, Tenzan tags in and he nails Omega with some Mongolian Chops. Kojima hits the ring and he double teams Omega with Tenzan, Tenzan attacks Omega with even more Mongolian Chops. Omega uses the referee as a shield before raking the eyes of Tenzan, Bullet Club then attack Tenzan with some double team moves. Owens tags in and he nails Tenzan with a top rope elbow strike, Owens continues working over Tenzan with some more strikes. Omega tags back in and he nails Tenzan with a top rope axe handle drop, Tenzan tries fighting back and Omega halts his momentum.

Owens tags back in and he locks a downed Tenzan in a chin lock, Tenzan catches a charging Owens with a suplex before tagging Kojima in. Kojima traps Owens and Omega in the corner before landing machine gun chops, Kojima drops Owens with a running forearm strike. Kojima goes to the top rope and Omega holds his feet so he cannot jump down, Kojima eventually gets down and he nails Owens with a neck breaker. Omega and Owens then hit Kojima with a double super kick for a near fall, Kojima ad Tenzan the hit Owens with a 3D. Omega is taken care of and Kojima nails Owens with a lariat for a three count.

Winners: Satoshi Kojima & Hiroyoshi Tenzan

Tomoyuki Oka & Taguchi Japan (Ryusuke Taguchi & Juice Robinson) vs. Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano & Gedo)

The match begins with Gedo poking Taguchi right in the eyes, Taguchi goes for the hip attacks and Gedo counters them all. Taguchi would finally connect with multiple hip attacks against Gedo, Robinson tags in and he nails Gedo with hip attacks as well. Oka tags in and he nails Gedowith some hip attacks as well, Taguchi tags back in and he nails an interfering Yano with hip attacks. Yano eventually drops Taguchi and a brawl breaks out between everybody in the match, Yano removes a turnbuckle pad and he attacks Taguchi with it. Okada drags Robinson into the crowd and smashes his head on some chairs a few times, Yano and Taguchi continue their fight on the inside of the ring.

Okada tags in and he works over Taguchi by nailing him with a slingshot swanton bomb, Taguchi fights back by dropping Okada with a hip attack. Robinson gets the tag and he pops Okada with his patented jabs, Robinson then nails Okada with an inverted DDT. Okada fights back and Robinson catches him with a spine buster, Okada traps Robinson in the corner before catching him with a running back elbow strike followed by a DDT. Okada goes to the top rope and Robinson causes him to leap off, Okada then drops Robinson with a drop kick. Robinson then drops Okada with a left before Yano and Oka get tagged into the match.

Oka drops Yano and an interfering Gedo with shoulder tackles, Taguchi hits the ring to nail Yano with a double suplex alongside Oka. Yano low blows Oka and rolls him up for the three count.

Winners: Chaos (Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano & Gedo)

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Togi Makabe vs. Yuji Nagata

The match begins with Makabe and Nagata taking turns working over the others arm, Makabe then drops Nagata with a shoulder tackle. Nagata gets up before dropping Makabe and then kicking him in the back, Makabe recovers to crush Nagata with a running clothesline in the corner. Nagata goes out of the ring and Makabe follows him out there before tossing him into the barricade, Makabe waits for Nagata to return to the ring before attacking him with a few strikes. Nagata tries fighting back and he eventually drops Makabe with a boot to the face, Makabe gets up and Nagata assaults him with kicks.

Nagata traps Makabe in the corner before catching him with a running boot to the face followed by an exploder suplex, Makabe recovers and he drops Nagata. Makabe backs Nagata into the corner before nailing him with a running clothesline, Makabe then mounts Nagata in the corner before assaulting him with punches. Makabe then drops Nagata after landing two more clotheslines for a near fall, Makabe and Nagata get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Makabe eventually catches Nagata with another clothesline that drops him, Nagata recovers and he locks a swinging Makabe in the Nagata Lock.

Nagata transitions into a standard arm bar on Makabe and Makabe makes it to the ropes, Nagata drops Makabe again by crushing him with a series of kicks. Nagata then nails Makabe with a screwdriver suplex for a near fall, Nagata follows that up by nailing Makabe with a release German suplex for a near fall. Makabe recovers and drops Nagata with his own release German suplex, Makabe starts going to the top rope and Nagata kicks him in the head before going up there himself. Makabe knocks Nagata off the ropes and then he nails him with a King Kong Knee Drop as he tried standing up, Makabe levels Nagata with a lariat for a near fall. Makabe slams Nagata and then cracs him with a King Kong Knee Drop for the three count.

Winner: Togi Makabe

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Kota Ibushi vs. Bad Luck Fale

The match begins with Ibushi attacking Fale with a series of kicks, Fale stops Ibushi from kicking after nailing him leg with an elbow strike. Fale drags Ibushi to the topes before just standing on the injured leg, Fale traps the leg of Ibushi in the ropes before just stomping away on it. Fale then drags Ibushi to the ring post before smashing the injured leg on the ring post, Fale again traps the leg of Ibushi in the ropes while just pulling away on it. Fale grabs the injured leg of Ibushi and just smashes it on the mat below, Fale waits for Ibushi to stand up before nailing him with some strikes. Ibushi recovers and and cracks Fale with a series of kicks, Fale falls to a knee and Ibushi pops him with a penalty kick for a near fall.

Fale backs himself into the ropes as Ibushi assaults him with more kicks, Fale recovers and dropsa  charging Ibushi with a lariat. Fale goes for the Grenade and Ibushi escapes to eat an elbow strike, Fale misses a charge into the corner and Ibushi catches him with a release German suplex. Fale rolls to the arena floor and catches a diving Ibushi before throwing him into the barricade, Fale then tosses Ibushi into a plethora of chairs in the crowd. Ibushi recovers and he throws Fale into a wall near the crowd, Ibushi goes up to the next floor in the stands before doing a moonsault onto Fale. Ibushi and Fale make it back into the ring to beat the count, Ibushi then catches Fale with a springboard drop kick.

Fale recovers and he clobbers a charging Ibushi with a clothesline, Fale goes for the Bad Luck Fall and Ibushi escapes to roll him up for a near fall. Ibushi then nails a downed Fale with a kick to the head for a near fall, Ibushi looks for the sit down power bomb and Fale counters with a Samoan drop. Fale then crushes Ibushi with a splash for another near fall, Fale then crushes Ibushi with the Grenade and the Bad Luck Fall for the three count.

Winner: Bad Luck Fale

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Hirooki Goto vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

The match begins with Goto holding Sabre Jr in a headlock, Goto releases the hold to drop Sabre Jr with multiple shoulder tackles. Sabre Jr tries getting up as Goto attacks him with strikes, El Desparado distracts Goto and that allows Sabre Jr to put him in an abdominal stretch. Sabre Jr releases that hold to lock Goto in a heel hook single leg crab, Sabre Jr would then lock Goto in a modified STF. Sabre Jr picks Goto up before assaulting him with a European uppercut and some kicks, Goto fights back and he nails Sabre Jr with some chops. Goto then drops Sabre Jr with a running clothesline, Sabre Jr retreats to the corner and Goto catches him with a spin kick followed by a side suplex for anear fall.

Sabre Jr recovers and he manages to lock Goto in the octopus stretch, Goto escapes that hold and Sabre Jr looks for a kimura. Goto escapes that and he cracks Sabre Jr with a modified neck breaker, Goto looks for the GTR and Sabre Jr counters into an arm bar. Goto eventually makes it to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Goto gets up as Sabre Jr is bending his arm in some unnatural ways. Sabre Jr then cracks Goto in the injured arm with a pele kick before landing a penalty kick, Goto quickly recovers and drops a charging Sabre Jr. Sabre Jr jumps onto Goto and he locks him in the guillotine choke, Goto escapes and Sabre Jr rolls him up for a near fall.

Goto looks for the GTR again and Sabre Jr counters again with another roll up for a near fall, Sabre Jr goes for the penalty kick and Goto blocks it. Sabre Jr and Goto get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Sabre Jr attacks the injured arms of Goto with a variety of kicks. Goto recovers quickly and he mauls Sabre Jr with a lariat, Goto cracks Sabre Jr with a kick to the head followed by the GTR for the three count.

Winner: Hirooki Goto

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Yoshi-Hashi

The match begins with Tanahashi and Yoshi-Hashi doing a little chain wrestling, Yoshi-Hashi traps Tanahashi in the ropes before attacking him with a series of strikes. Tanahashi then nails a charging Yoshi-Hashi with a back elbow strike followed by a middle rope cross body block. Yoshi-Hashi rolls out of the ring and Tanahashi kicks him in the face, Tanahashi then catches a dazed Yoshi-Hashi with a plancha. Tanahashi waits for Yoshi-Hashi to return to the ring before attacking his leg with a plethora of strikes, Tanahashi then bends the injured leg of Yoshi-Hashi in unnatural ways. Yoshi-Hashi tries fighting back and he eventually drops Tanahashi with a rolling neck breaker, Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by mauling Tanahashi with strikes.

Yoshi-Hashi traps Tanahashi in the corner before nailing him with a running chop, Yoshi-Hashi follows that up by catching Tanahashi with a neck breaker. Yoshi-Hashi goes for a super kick and Tanahashi counters with a dragon screw leg whip, Tanahashi follows that up by nailing the injured leg of Yoshi-Hashi with a drop kick. Tanahashi then locks Yoshi-Hashi in the Texas cloverleaf, Yoshi-Hashi eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission hold. Tanahashi catches Yoshi-Hashi with another dragon screw leg whip as Yoshi-Hashi was holding the ropes, Tanahashi goes to the top rope and Yoshi-Hashi nails him with a chop. Yoshi-Hashi takes Tanahashi off the ropes before catching him with an F-5, Yoshi-Hashi and Tanahashi get into a striking exchange in the middle of the ring.

Yoshi-Hashi catches a charging Tanahashi to nail him with a shoulder breaker followed by a double knee strike for a near fall, Tanahashi gets back up and he is levels by a lariat from Yoshi-Hashi. Yoshi-Hashi connects with a power bomb with a bridge on Tanahashi for a near fall, Yoshi-Hashi then cracks Tanahashi with a swanton bomb for a near fall. Yoshi-Hashi goes for Kharma and the two wrestlers go through some reversals until Tanahashi is nailed with a lung blower, Yoshi-Hashi goes for Kharma again and Tanahashi counters with a spinning neck breaker. Yoshi-Hashi recovers and cracks Tanahashi with a mule kick followed by a super kick, Tanahashi gets back up and he drops a charging Yoshi-Hashi with a sling blade.

Tanahashi hits Yoshi-Hashi with a High Fly Flow for the three count.

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi

NJPW G1 Climax 27 Block A: Tomohiro Ishii vs. Tetsuya Naito

The match begins with Ishii powering Naito into the ropes, Naito breaks free and spits on Ishii before throwing him out of the ring. Ishii quickly gets back in the ring as Naito taunts him, Naito rolls out of the ring and then goes to the ring apron. Ishii cracks Naito with a forearm strike that knocks him off the ring apron and into the barricade, Ishii goes out of the ring and gets thrown into the barricade a few times by Naito. Naito throws Ishii back into the ring and he holds him in a chin lock, Naito then traps Ishii in the corner while nailing him with forearm strikes.

Ishii responds by clobbering Naito with a plethora of strikes in the corner, Ishii and Naito just get into a wild striking exchange in the corner. Naito traps Ishii in the ropes before catching him with a rope assisted back breaker, Naito drags Ishii to the middle of the ring for a near fall. Naito attacks the injured neck of Ishii with a few elbow strikes before applying the head scissors, Naito releases the hold and attacks Ishii with elbow strikes in the corner. Ishii fights back and he drops a charging Naito with a power slam, Ishii backs Naito into the corner while mauling him with strikes.

Ishii follows that up by nailing Naito with a shoulder tackle, Ishii then catches Naito with a delayed verticle suplex for a near fall. Naito recovers to nail Ishii with a modified neck breaker followed by a drop kick, Naito traps Ishii in the corner before catching him with a slingshot drop kick. Naito goes for a satellite DDT and Ishii counters with a release German suplex, Naito gets up and he has a forearm strike exchange with Ishii. Ishii backs Naito in the corner before clobbering him with a running clothesline, Ishii puts Naito on the top rope and follows him up there. Naito gets off before nailing Ishii with a neck breaker, Naito then catches Ishii with a German suplex for a near fall.

Naito follows that up by cracking Ishii with a flying forearm strike followed by another German suplex for a near fall, Ishii recovers to nail Naito with a clothesline and a release German suplex. Ishii crushes Naito with a few headbutts after eating a few slaps, Ishii then crushes Naito with a power bomb for a near fall. Naito recovers and he catches Ishii with a satellite DDT followed by an enzaguri, Naito would then drop Ishii with a release German suplex. Naito catches Ishii with Destino for a near fall, Naito looks for Destino again and Ishii clobbers him with an enzaguri. Ishii then counters Destino with an ace crusher followed by a sliding lariat for a near fall, Ishii then nails Naito with another lariat after Naito escaped the brain buster.

Ishii crushes Naito with a brain buster for the three count.
