WWE NXT (12/12/2023) Results: Meta Four in Trios Action, DIJAK vs Thorpe, Fallout of NXT Deadline

On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of NXT on the USA Network.

• After a video package recapping the events of NXT Deadline, the camera cut backstage showing Carmelo Hayes being attacked before Trick Williams & multiple producers checked on him.
• Cora Jade opened the show after returning to NXT. She said that the show was better with her involved. Jade did put over the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge participants but said that no one was talking about them because she was the talk of the town on her return.
  NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria interrupted Jade and told Jade that there was nothing she could do about her. 2023 Women's Iron Survivor Blair Davenport interrupted. Davenport & Jade attacked Valkyria, but Nikkita Lyons made the save.
• NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee was interviewed by Kelly Kincaid backstage, where he wished Wes Lee a speedy recovery from his injury before announcing an open challenge for tonight.
• Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Fallon Henley def. Meta-Four (Lash Legend, Noam Dar, & Oro Mensah) (w/ Jakara Jackson).
• Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams spoke backstage about the injury, where Hayes said that he did not know who attacked him, but recognized who hit him like that. Hayes said he would call out his possible attacker tonight.
• The participants of the NXT Men's Breakout Tournament were showcased on the ramp before Lexis King attacked one of the participants, Trey Bearhill.
• NXT Men's Breakout Tournament - First Round Match: Oba Femi def. Myles Borne.
• Lyra Valkyria & Nikkita Lyons spoke backstage, where they talked about their match against Cora Jade & Blair Davenport. Lyra opened her locker to see a picture of herself & Tatum Paxley, which bamboozled her.
• NXT North American Championship - Desafio Universal: Dragon Lee (c) def. Tyler Bate.
• Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs spoke backstage before Fallon Henley joined in, who said that she left because every time she sees blonde, she sees red. Josh Briggs said that he wanted to drink from the Heritage Cup.
• Lexis King bragged about attacking Trey Bearhill, telling Ava that he aimed to wreak havoc. Ava told King that everyone in the tournament wanted a piece of him.
• Eddy Thorpe def. DIJAK (via Disqualification).
  • The ring broke, with one of the turnbuckles being unbuckled. DIJAK then hit Thorpe with the buckle, leading to a disqualification. DIJAK continued his attack after the match.
• Chase University brainstormed charity ideas before Andre Chase told them that he would take care of it, to which Duke Hudson responded with this: "Oh you will? Because you look like shit". Jacy Jayne & Thea Hail went to watch Osborne's match against Keanu Carver in the NXT Men's Breakout Tourney before Scrypts gave Andre Chase a metal suitcase.
• Blair Davenport & Cora Jade spoke backstage, with Davenport telling Jade that they could work together tonight, but she was winning the title on New Year's Evil. Jade told Davenport that she could work with that.
• NXT Men's Breakout Tournament - First Round Match: Riley Osborne def. Keanu Carver.
  • Thea Hail & Jacy Jayne watched the match from the crowd.
• Drew Gulak, Damn Kemp, Charlie Dempsey & Myles Borne confronted Dragon Lee, where Gulak asked if he would pay tributes to Wes Lee every week. Lee responded by saying that he has Open Challenges every week, to which Gulak responded by saying that they will accept his challenge for next week.
• Thea Hail met with Riley Osborne, but things got awkward during the conversation. Jacy Jayne & Hail talked about the interaction before Kiana James & Izzy Dame made fun of them.
• Cora Jade & Blair Davenport def. Nikkita Lyons & NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria.
  • Tatum Paxley confronted Lyra Valkyria after the match.
• Hank Walker & Tank Ledger spoke backstage before they were confronted by Gallus. Walker & Ledger told Joe Coffey to not get involved in their tag match, but Coffey said that there would be no need. Joe Gacy then appeared from out of nowhere.
• Trick Williams cut a promo after winning the 2023 Men's Iron Survivor Match, where comparing himself to multiple sports greats, including LeBron James, leading to him saying this: "I'm Trick James bitch".
  NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov interrupted Williams and put him over for his efforts in the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge and the momentum he had in that match. After talking about their match for New Year's Evil, Carmelo Hayes interrupted and blamed Dragunov for attacking Williams two months ago and Hayes tonight. Dragunov said that he did not attack them before saying that he did not believe Hayes was attacked tonight. Hayes tried to take the belt off Dragunov, but accidentally hit Williams with the belt. The show ended in confusion as the crowd chanted "Melo Is Guilty" to end the broadcast.
