- Ava kicks off the show by welcoming Sexyy Red to NXT. It's announced that sexy red will host the WWE NXT Battleground pay-per-view. Red is giving the privilege of unveiling the NXT Women's North American Title. Tatum Paxley appears and begins to tug of war with Sexyy Red over the title. Michin comes out and their match begins.

* WWE NXT Women's North American Title Qualifier: Michin def. Tatum Paxley

- Meta-Four approaches Gallus backstage to find out why they attacked Noam Dar. Joe Coffey asserts that everyone would know if they were the ones who attacked Dar. Oro Mensah is certain now that Trick Williams did it. Lash is still defending her man.

- Lola Vice is backstage when she's approached by Arianna Grace. Grace is warning Lola about the legitimacy of Shayna Baszler. Lola says she's legitimate as well and Grace can find out in the ring later tonight. Grace says, "Oh shit."

* Ridge Holland def. Riley Osbourne.

- Osbourne refuses to shake Holland's hand.

- The Good Brothers cut a promo without wanting the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship. Kelly Kincaid tells the cameraman that he needs to rush and find the source of some breaking news. It is shown that Oro Mensah was attacked backstage.

* The OC (Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) def. Edris Enofe & Malik Blade (w/ Brinley Reece)

- After the match Gallows and Anderson are attacked by Axiom and Nathan Frazer an NXT Tag Team Championship Match is set for WWE NXT Battleground

- Dante Chen vignette airs. Chen is being congratulated by other WWE NXT Superstars when he's interrupted by Lexis King. King wants a rematch. Dante offers to give it to him tonight.

- Sexyy Red talks to Je'Von Evans and Trick Williams backstage. She wishes them luck in their match tonight.

- Roxanne Perez comes out to find out who her opponent will be at WWE NXT Battleground. She said it was ridiculous that Ava had made her wait this long. Ava comes out and introduces TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace as her opponent. Grace says she plans on walking out of Las Vegas with two championships.

- Chase U continues to bicker backstage. Andre Chase assures Ridge Holland that everything will be okay.

* Lola Vice def. Arianna Grace

- Vice cuts a promo telling Shayna Baszler that she can either tap or get knocked out at WWE NXT Battleground. Baszler's music hits and she tries to hit the ring but she is stopped by security.

- After the break, we go backstage to see Oro Mensah receiving medical attention. Lash Legend tells Jakara Jackson that she will be able to learn Trick Williams's side of the story regarding Mensah's attack.

- A Josh Briggs vignette airs. Shawn Spears is intrigued by it.

- Charlie Dempsey tells Myles Borne and Damon Kemp that they need structure like Tony D'Angelo's family.

* Dante Chen def. Lexis King

- Lexis King attacks Dante Chan after the match.

* WWE NXT Women's North American Title Qualifier: Kelani Jordan def. Wren Sinclair

- Backstage, Stevie Turner returns to television to complain to Ava and Robert Stone about Jordynne getting the shot at the WWE NXT Women's Championship at WWE NXT Battleground. Grace interrupts the proceedings and offers to face Turner next week on NXT television.

* Je'Von Evans & Trick Williams def. Gallus (Mark Coffey & Joe Coffey)

- After the match, Lash comes out to confront Trck. She asks him if he's been attacking Noam and Oro. The lights go out and come back on and Ethan Page is in the ring and he attacks Williams. He reveals that it's him who's been attacking the member of Meta-Four. He said they would be a pleasure to "Whoop That Trick" and ends the show by holding up the WWE NXT Championship
