Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's special edition of WWE NXT UK with Prelude!
- We open today's show with a video package for all of the matches on the card before we open in the BT Sports Arena with our opening match between Noam Dar and Tyler Bate.
NXT UK Heritage Cup Championship Number One Contender Match
Noam Dar (w/ Sha Samuels) vs Tyler Bate (w/ Trent Seven)
Round 1
The two lock up before Tyler backs Dar into the ropes for a clean break before countering each other's attempts at a back slide before Tyler gets one off of a back slide. Tyler then rolls up Dar for the first fall out of nowhere.
Tyler goes up 1-0
Round 2
Tyler takes Noam down with a wrist lock before Dar focuses on the leg of Tyler before Tyler takes Dar down with a cravat and Dar reverses into a full nelson. Tyler locks in another cravat before far backs him to the ropes and hits a deep arm drag before elbowing Tyler in the shoulder. Tyler dropkicks Dar and they have a test of strength before Tyler takes Dar down and pins his shoulders down as the round ends.
Round 3
Dar elbows Tyler before Tyler kicks him and Dar catches a kick before dropping Tyler with a spinning back elbow for two before snapping Tyler into the ropes. Dar mocks Trent at ringside and kicks Tyler before hitting a side slam for two before Tyler rocks Dar with a knee lift and hits a diving uppercut. Tyler then hits an airplane spin as the round ends.
Round 4
Tyler reapplies an airplane spin before dropping Dar and Dar counters an exploder into a sliding forearm for two before Tyler traps his arms and drops him with a jab. Dar kicks Tyler in the chest before Tyler rocks Dar with an uppercut and the two exchange until they collapse as the round ends.
Round 5
Tyler lays into Dar with punches before Dar kicks his legs and locks in a knee bar for the tap to end the round.
Dar evens the score 1-1.
Round 6
Tyler immediately hits a dead lift bridging German for two before Dar counters the Tyler Driver and Tyler drops him before going up top. Sha distracts Tyler before Trent takes him out and Tyler sends Dar through the ropes before hitting a Fosbury flop onto everyone. Dar then sends Tyler into the steps before rolling him back inside and Tyler counters the Nova Roller into the Tyler Driver '97 for the pin, third fall, and the win.
Winner: Tyler Bate defeats Noam Dar via pinfall to become the new number one contender for A-Kid's Heritage Cup Championship.
- We get a brief interview with South Wales Subculture at the UK PC.
- We then get a video package for Ilja Dragunov as we go to commercial.
- We see Jack Starz and Piper Niven training at the PC with Piper serving as Jack's trainer.
- We get a backstage promo by the NXT Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin ahead of his title unification match against Santos Escobar tonight on night two of Takeover: Stand & Deliver.
Kay Lee Ray & Isla Dawn vs Meiko Satomura & Emilia McKenzie
Isla and Emilia start the match off for their respective teams with Isla taking Emilia down with a side headlock before Emilia sweeps Isla and rolls her up for two. KLR and Meiko come in and KLR kicks Meiko in the midsection before locking in a headlock and Meiko drops her with a kick for one before KLR sends Meiko into the corner. Isla and KLR isolate Meiko until she comes back and drops Isla and knocks KLR off of the apron before tagging in Emilia and she and Emilia double team Isla for two. KLR and Emilia exchange head scissors before Emilia suplexes Isla and spears KLR for a deep two count before Isla rips Meiko off of apron. KLR drags Emilia to the corner where Isla tags in and hits a Saito suplex for two before they exchange strikes until Emilia hits a cutter out of nowhere. Meiko gets the hot tag and lays into KLR with forearms and a whirlwind kick before KLR counters a Saito and Meiko hits a scorpion kick. Meiko hits a Saito suplex for two before she and KLR exchange until KLR hits the Gory bomb for a near fall that Emilia breaks up. Everyone hits a move before Meiko locks in an STF and Isla helps KLR get to the ropes for the break before KLR hits a front suplex into a running meteora by Isla for a near fall. Emilia then counters a fisherman's buster by Isla into a small package for the pin and the win.
Winner: Emilia McKenzie and Meiko Satomura defeat Isla Dawn and Kay Lee Ray via pinfall.
- After the match Aoife Valkyrie comes out onto the stage and leaves a feather for Meiko.
- We get the announce of a matches between Amir Jordan and Kenny Williams, Saxon Huxley and Nathan Frazer as well as Gallus on the Supernova Sessions.
NXT UK Championship Match
WALTER (c) vs Rampage Brown
Rampage and WALTER exchange standing switches before Rampage drops WALTER and dropkicks him out of the ring before running over him at ringside. WALTER sends Rampage into the barricade and back into the ring before hitting him with clubbing blows in the ropes before hitting a snap mare and locking in a Boston crab. Rampage comes back with a suplex before they exchange strikes until WALTER chops Rampage down for two before they exchange chops and Rampage slams WALTER. WALTER locks in a a sleeper before Rampage counters a powerbomb into a clothesline before hitting a running clothesline in the corner into a diving shoulder tackle for one. WALTER counters the Doctor Bomb into a sleeper before Rampage counters and dropkicks WALTER before WALTER hits a powerbomb for a near fall. Rampage meets WALTER up top and hits an avalanche powerslam for a near fall before Rampage counters a sleeper into a back suplex. Rampage hits a Doctor Bomb before WALTER counters a second Doctor Bomb into a back drop and several chops into a running knee. WALTER hits Rampage with a lariat before dropping him with a flurry for a near fall before WALTER chops Rampage in the back and locks in a sleeper. Rampage then hits a German into a powerbomb for a near fall before hitting a diving splash for the pin and the win.
Winner: WALTER retains his NXT UK title by defeating Rampage Brown via pinfall.
