NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament First Round Match
Dave Mastiff vs Joseph Conners
Round 1
Dave backs Joseph into the corner for a clean break before they exchange wrist locks and arm wringers. Dave hits an arm drag before Joseph locks in a hammer lock before dodging a sit-down splash. Dave then dropkicks Joseph as round one comes to an end.
Round 2
Dave runs over Joseph before locking in a standing side headlock and dropping Joseph with a shoulder block. Dave locks in a standing accordion hold before taking Joseph down to the mat before hitting a powerslam for two. Dave then rocks Joseph with an uppercut before Joseph slaps Dave and gets out of the ring as the round ends.
Round 3
Dave then wins in round three by knocking Joseph out with a stiff forearm for the referee stoppage and the win.
Winner: Dave Mastiff defeats Joseph Conners via referee stoppage due to knockout to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- We get an extended video package promo by the former Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin where Jordan declares that he is the real Cruiserweight champion and welcomes anyone to come for the real title as we go to commercial.
- We come back to a segment from earlier today in which Oliver Carter was interviewed before he was reunited with Ashton Smith and Carter told Smith about his match next week.
Isla Dawn vs Piper Niven
Piper overpowers Isla before Isla takes Piper down to one knee before stomping her hands. Isla rocks Piper with uppercuts before locking in a headlock and Piper takes her down to the mat. Isla rolls Piper up for two before Piper runs her over and tosses her across the ring. Isla dropkicks Piper before Piper hits a running cross body for two and Isla rocks her with an enzuigiri for two. Isla dodges a running splash in the corner before hitting a diving meteora for a near fall.
Isla then locks in a dragon sleeper before Piper hits a cannonball in the corner into the Piper Driver for the pin and the win.
Winner: Piper Niven defeats Isla Dawn via pinfall.
- We see Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan training at the UK PC earlier this week as we go to commercial.
- We come back to an update on the condition of Flash Morgan Webster who has not been cleared to compete and that he'll be replaced by Trent Seven. We then get a video package promo by Trent where he talks about the opportunity.
Imperium (WALTER & Alexander Wolfe) vs Ilja Dragunov & Pete Dunne
Wolfe and Dunne start things off for their respective teams by grappling on the mat before Pete clotheslines Wolfe. WALTER tags in and backs Pete into the corner before Pete locks in a headlock and WALTER slings him off. WALTER locks in a straight arm bar before Pete gets to his feet and hits a head scissors into an arm bar. WALTER blocks the arm bar before Pete locks in a short arm scissors and goes back to the arm bar before Pete gets two off of a sunset flip. Ilja comes in and almost immediately gets taken down to the mat before they brawl and WALTER takes ilja right back down to the mat.
Ilja gets to his feet and gets slammed before WALTER hits a PK and knocks Pete off of the apron before Wolfe comes in. Wolfe locks in a straight arm bar with a chin bar before trying to hyper extend the arm of Ilja. Imperium isolate and pick Ilja apart until Pete gets the hot tag and hits a German suplex before stomping the hands of WALTER. Pete hits a buzz saw kick for two before locking in an arm bar and WALTER stacks Pete up before stomping his way free. WALTER hits a shotgun dropkick that sends Pete across the ring before Wolfe and Ilja come back in.
Ilja powerbombs Wolfe for two before hitting the Constantine Special for a near fall before he and Pete hits an x-plex into a dive by Ilja for a near fall. Pete locks in a triangle choke to WALTER with Ilja elbowing Wolfe in the side of the head before WALTER powerbombs Pete onto Ilja. Pete hits an enzuigiri before ilja gets caught in mid-air with a chop and WALTER powerbombs him for a near fall that Pete breaks up. WALTER suplexes Ilja for a near fall before they exchange strikes until Ilja clotheslines WALTER for a near fall that Wolfe breaks up. Pete hits Wolfe with the Bitter End before WALTER sends Pete out of the ring and chops Ilja before locking in a sleeper hold.
Ilja gets free and chops WALTER in the side of the neck before hitting a Gotch-Style German suplex. Wolfe grabs the foot of Ilja before Pete snaps his fingers and sends him into the barricade before WALTER counters Torpedo Moscow. Ilja then hits Torpedo Moscow on the second attempt for the pin and the win.
Winner: Ilja Dragunov and Pete Dunne defeat Imperium via pinfall.
